Spiritual Introspection

Every genuine outward transformation begins from the inside. Every change on the outside is a function of the change on the inside. There can be no external conversion without first an internal conversion.

"Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also."- Matthew 23:26

A conscious and continuous Introspection (Inward Examination) of our walk and relationship with God will make us fit as vessels of His (Gods) Glory. 

"Test yourselves to discover whether you are true believers: put your own selves under examination. Or do you not know that Jesus Christ is within you, unless you are insincere?"- 2 Corinthians 13:5 (Weymouth New Testament)

Wisdom Nuggets Today!

'A Present Help' suggests, immediate supply of assistance as soon as the need arises. Better still, it suggests the availability of the assistance even before the need arises. 

The Almighty God is the ONE & ONLY 'Present Help'. 

"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble."- Psalm 46:1

DESIRE

"What you do not desire, you may not seek for. What you do not seek for, you may not acquire. Your desire fuels your pursuit, it drives you toward your goal."

"One thing have I DESIRED of the Lord, that will I SEEK after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in His temple."- Psalm 27:4 (Emphasis mine)

Divine De-Fence

You see, what you are not conscious of, you will not effectively engage; and what you do not effectively engage, you will not enjoy its maximum benefit.

God has placed a divine fence (shield, fortress, protection, safeguard etc) around your live, the fact that you see it or not does not render it in-existent.

"And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha."- 2 kings 6:16-17

All Things Are Yours!

There is this story of an illiterate and unworldly peasant who struck it rich. He bought a first class ticket for a train journey to the city, but because he was uneducated and unaware of his privileges he ended up in the third class cabin. He had a first class ticket, but could not use it because he did not know what he had. 

You see as Christian believers, the Scripture tells us that our Heavenly Father has made all provisions ready and available for us in the adventure of life through His Son Jesus Christ.

Think on This:

Diligence

God the Father is a diligent worker.

God the Son (Jesus) is a diligent worker.

God the Holy Spirit is a diligent worker.

I also should and must be a diligent worker.

Crown The Year With Your Goodness

As we begin the last month of the year there is an air of joy, excitement, celebration and festivity in the atmosphere, because we are fast approaching the Christmas and holiday season.

Its equally striking to note that the year has gone by as ever, so quickly. But the good news is, the year is not over yet though a new one is just around the corner.

My Sustainer, My Maintainer & My Keeper

I once heard a conversation where some folks were discussing the fact that advances in science and medicine has led to medication that aids and facilitates sleep. Medication that are classified as anti-insomnia, that is, medicines that help people fall asleep or stay asleep or have a good sleep.

But the interesting and most profound part of the conversation came when one of the folks said that in all the genuine and sincere advances plus hype of medical science, it has till date failed to find a cure for death. That is, a medicine that will revive or wake up a dead person.

Moments in Life

In Happy Moment- Praise God

In Quiet Moment- Worship God

In Painful Moment- Trust God
I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end He will stand upon the earth.- Job 19:25

In Every Moment- Give Him Thanks
Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. - 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Help my unbelief!

I recently read a small booklet on "You can have living faith" published by the United church of God. The booklet covered the definition of faith, why many lack faith, examples of living faith, enemies of faith, growing in faith and others.

As I devoured the small booklet, enjoying every bit of it, I found myself stuck on the 'Growing in faith' section, and it has since refused to let go off me. This is with particular reference to the story of the father who brought his demon-possessed son to Jesus to heal him. (Mark 9:14-29):
