During this Easter season, I was reading the story of the Passion (arrest, trial, suffering and crucifixion) of the Lord Jesus in the Gospel of John chapter 19.
When Pilate handed Jesus over to be crucified; "Now Pilate wrote a title and put it on the cross. And the writing was: JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS."- John 19:19
The Bible records that this title written by Pilate about Jesus (as King of the Jews) was written in three Languages: Hebrews, Latin & Greek. (See John 19:20).
'God will go with us, but God won't go for us'
"And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen."- Mark 16:20
Below is my comment on a friend's blog when I read the post on the British Humanist Association (Atheist Group) bus advertising campaign across the country:
"There is no 'sitting on the fence' or 'playing safe' or 'probably'. You either believe in God to your salvation or believe not to your damnation.
Sounds a bit hard- but that is the truth."
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believs in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son."- John 3:16-18
