There is this story of an illiterate and unworldly peasant who struck it rich. He bought a first class ticket for a train journey to the city, but because he was uneducated and unaware of his privileges he ended up in the third class cabin. He had a first class ticket, but could not use it because he did not know what he had.
You see as Christian believers, the Scripture tells us that our Heavenly Father has made all provisions ready and available for us in the adventure of life through His Son Jesus Christ.
But the questions here are: 1- Are we aware of this? 2-If we are aware, do we believed? 3-If we believe, are we accessing these wonderful provisions?
"He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?"- Romans 8:32
"nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;"- 1 Timothy 6:17
The story of the prodigal son (rather the sulking brother) stands out to me here as a typical example of how we (Believers in Christ Jesus) often times do not know what we have. Hear what the father told the older brother when he was angry that his prodigal brother is being welcomed back home with pomp and pageantry.
"And the father said to him, Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours."- Luke 15:31
All that the father has was ready, available and there for the brother, but he could not access it, beacuse he knew not what he had.
And we know that our Heavenly Father (The Almighty God) is The Creator of the Heavens and the Earth; The Maker of All Things; The Possessor of All Things. The silver and gold belongs to Him; a thousand (uncountable) rams on a thousand (uncountable) hills belongs to Him; salvation belongs Him. If you are His child through the redemption of the blood of Jesus; of a truth ALL THINGS ARE YOURS!
"According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness,"-2 Peter 1:3
My prayer today is: The Holy Spirit will open the eyes of our understanding to know the things that freely belong to us in God through Christ Jesus. And that we will not only know those things, but partake of them fully in the mighty name of Jesus-Amen!
"Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God."- 1 Corinthians 2:12
Oh what a wonderful, precious, most enviable and blessed heritage we have in Christ Jesus.
If you are not a child of God through the blood of Jesus, I plead with you to turn way from your sins and accept the Lordship of Jesus Christ TODAY and you will become a child of God having the inheritance of All Things.
Here is the conclusion of this piece:
"All things are yours, whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future— All are yours, and you are of Christ, and Christ is of God."- 1 Corinthians 3:21-23
