Right Standing

Until you are standing right, you cannot be outstanding in life. Your posture today will determine your future tomorrow.

Righteousness is right standing with God. We don't earn righteousness, we inherit righteousness. We don't work to become righteous, we receive righteousness by grace.

"Christ had no sin, but God made him become sin so that in Christ we could become right with God."- 2 Corinthians 5:21

To be in right standing with God begins with salvation. When we receive the free gift of salvation of God in Christ Jesus, it makes us to be in right standing with God.

"This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me, says the LORD."- Isaiah 54:17

We have no right standing of our own, because our righteousness is like filthy rag before the Lord. So our righteousness is found in Christ Jesus.

Though we receive and inherit righteousness as a gift from God, we have a duty to keep this precious gift from the Lord. Our duty is to remain by His grace in this inheritance of righteousness that we have received of Him.

"You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions."- Psalm 45:7
