... pray for each other so that you may be healed.- James 5:16
I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession....be made for everyone— 1 Timothy 2:1
A wiseman once said: 'What you make happen for others, God will also make happen for you.'
There was the story of a man who was in dire distress, a huge, depressing and shattering calamity had befallen him, such as never witnessed and experienced by any man living or dead before.
Yet in all his terrible, sad and pitiable ordeal, he was able to summon inner strength to pray for his friends.
And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.- Job 42:10
Jesus came to make things happen for others, He did not come to the earth for His own pleasure. He came to make salvation available for others, rather salvation for all men. Jesus prayed for His disciples, because He loved, cared and had compassion for them.
I pray for them. ... for those you have given me, for they are yours. My prayer is ... that you protect them from the evil one.- John 17:9,15
Jesus not only prayed for His disciples alone, He equally prayed for everyone who will come to believe in His message long after He had ascended to glory. He prayed for you and I, eventhough we may not have met Him face to face.
My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message,- John 17:20
We are in this world to be a blessing and make things happen for other. And one fundamental way of doing that is through our prayers for one another. Prayers that are effective, powerful, emanating from a heart of love, care and compassion. Prayers that avails much and makes tremendous power available which is dynamic in its working to bless, intercede, strengthen, uphold and stand in the gap for others.
And you are helping us by praying for us. Then many people will give thanks because God has graciously answered so many prayers for our safety.- 2 Corinthians 1:11
The good and heart warming news is this, even right now as you read this piece there may be someone or people praying for you that you may not be aware of. But you can be aware and assured of this, that Jesus is praying for you right now and always. Isn't that comforting and encouraging?
Therefore he is able ... to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf.-Hebrews 7:25
You can stand in the gap, intercede, strengthen and uphold someone before the Lord in prayer today. You can do it.
Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift each of you like wheat. But I have pleaded in prayer for you, Simon, that your faith should not fail. So when you have repented and turned to me again, strengthen your brothers.- Luke 22:31-32
Wha-o-o! This is a catalyst! It is so re-awakening, anyone who goes through this will surely be on his/her toes and be ready to explode.
Thank you, and may the anointing never cease, God bless you richly.
