Happy Father's Day!

Father's Day was celebrated in many countries of the world yesterday. There was the usual and customary giving of gifts, cards and sending good-wishes by children (irrespective of their ages) to their fathers.

In a world where the concept of father and the essence of fatherhood is being eroded and abused, it very apt and imperative for us to consult the heart of the Author of Fatherhood.

Indeed...

Got a phone call early this morning from a very good friend of mine- Ayodeji Rotibi who just moved to Caerphilly from Pontypridd in South Wales. It was a very pleasing report of the ever-increasing favour and goodness of the Lord to him and his wife- Omotayo.

Spontaneously these line came to mind: "For The Lord is good, and His mercy endures forever." Indeed our God is good and there is no evil in Him. This news from my friend, along with many other amazing, mind-blowing, incredible, awe-inspiring, spirit-exciting report from him and his family are direct answers to the prayers offered to the Lord.

This excites my faith in God and His unshakable goodness to His children, His established good plans for our lives and the sure heritage of goodness we have in Him.

Today, Why not taste and see for yourself that indeed the Lord is Good.

This is my own prayer today: Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.- Amen (See Psalm 23)

Assurance of Joy

Many atimes we will need to exercise patience if we must see the delivery of our desires from God. It would take patience to birth, nurture and sustain the conceived blessing of God that we are expecting in our lives.

Impatience may atimes abort the birth of the assured and definite blessing the Lord has packaged to deliver in our lives. We have to be careful not to give in to impatience and hence truncate or stall the release of our own definite blessing and expectation from the faithful, unfailing and never-lying God.
