Count Your Blessings
A young man was at the end of his rope. Seeing no way out, he dropped to his knees in prayer.
"Lord, I can't go on," he said. "I have too heavy a cross to bear." The Lord replied, "My son, if you can't bear it's weight, just place your cross inside this room. Then open another door and pick any cross you wish."
The man was filled with relief. "Thank you, Lord," he sighed, and did
as he was told. As he looked around the room he saw many different
crosses; some so large the tops were not visible. Then he spotted a
tiny cross leaning against a far wall.
"I'd like that one, Lord," he whispered. And the Lord replied, "My son, that's the cross you brought in."
The Lesson:
Remember that in this world, every one goes through different challenging issues, difficult situations, tough trials, rough and trying times at one point or the other.
"I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."- John 16:33 (NIV)
Here is the Good-News: Christ has overcome for you all the trials that my come your way in the journey of life. And God will neither put on you any trial (of your faith) nor allow the enemy put on you any temptation or burden beyond that which we are able to bear.
Therefore REJOICE Allelujah! because YOU have the victory and shall overcome every trial, trouble, temptation that may come on your way.
"The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure."- 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NLT)
I had never heard that story before. What a message!
