Fresh Oil

At the Church meeting Sunday morning, Roger Aubrey preached on the Anointing. It was a unique message as this led to a special time of ministration of the Anointing of the Holy Spirit on most of the worshippers at the meeting.

For many, it was a time of being anointed with fresh oil for fresh impact and effectiveness in our Christian adventure. Whilst for others it was a time of increasing in anointing for greater heights and works in the Christian journey.

These are stories meant to illustrate, teach and communicate important moral, ethical and spiritual lessons. These stories help to simplify complex life situations, thereby imparting the wisdom, concepts and lessons conveyed by the stories.

A mother wishing to encourage her son's progress at the piano, bought tickets to a Paderewski performance. When the evening arrived, they found their seats near the front of the concert hall and eyed the majestic Steinway waiting on stage. Soon the mother found a friend to talk to, and the boy slipped away.

His Way

A wise man once said that "The ways of God are the High-ways of life". What a clever way of stating the truth I said to myself. For when you follow after Him in His ways, He causes you to walk and ride on the high places of the earth.

When you sheepishly, stupidly (in the eye of the world) and delightsomely submit to His ways and leadings in the journey of life, He literally takes you up and mount you as it were on eagles wings, set for a flight of Glory.

Happy 2007!

May I dedicate my very first post in 2007 to wishing you a very happy new year. I arrived back yesterday from the Christmas and New Year holiday in Nigeria. It was indeed a memorable and unforgettable time seeing my brothers, sisters, dad, nephew, niece, family, friends, colleagues & brethren in the Church (see the pics in the photo album on the right hand side near the bottom of this page with the heading "Christmas & New Year– Lagos 2006/07".)

May the LORD cause you to ride from one level of glory to another in all your doings this glorious year. May His risen cloud of glory be seen upon you in all your ways in this season of His glory.

"Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; but the LORD will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you."- Isaiah 60:1-2
