Celebrating His Faithfulness

New Every Morning

God's faithfulness is the stronghold of the saints in the race of life. His faithfulness is as sure as the rising and setting of the sun. His faithfulness is everlasting, unending, unwavering, steadfast from one generation to another. We can count on His faithfulness to see us through in the race, journey, sojourn, pilgrimage and adventure of life.

Lamentations 3:23 says: They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.

His faithfulness is a function of His nature i.e. who He is. The Bible says He is Faithful (1 Thessalonians 5:24); and that He is called Faithful (Revelation 19:11), that is, His name is Faithful. The significance of a name is that it is meant to typify and embody the nature and destiny of the bearer.

He is Faithful and True, He is the truth, there is no lie in Him, whatever He says in His Word are the things that He performs. It is impossible for God to lie because that is not His nature. His nature tells us what He does and what to expect from Him. He is a God of integrity, He is the unchanging changer. The God of faithfulness without injustice, good and upright is He.

"If we are faithless, he will remain faithful, for he cannot disown himself."- 2 timothy 2:13

What a joy to know that the faithfulness of God is new every morning and available to us every day. Like the dew on the mountain from the womb of the morning. When I remember the truth in His Word, recall it to mind, think on and meditate about it my hope stays alive, my heart is saturated with joy, my confidence is boosted and my strength is replenished.

"I remember my affliction..., the bitterness and the gall. I well remember them, and my soul is downcast within me. Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."- Lamentations 3:19-23

Of a truth, God's faithfulness is the fortress and power-house of the redeemed. He watches over His Word and promises to fulfill it, He cannot fail us because His integrity is tied to it.

We can therefore count on His faithfulness; depend on His faithfulness; rely on His faithfulness; rest in His faithfulness; trust in His faithfulness; and above all celebrate His faithfulness

"Oh, praise the greatness of our God! He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he."- Deuteronomy 32:3&4

What a faithful friend we have in Jesus!
