It is exciting to wake up in the morning and your heart is just filled with a longing and desire for His presence. Thirsting and panting for the saturation and filling of your soul with the loving, abiding presence and power of the Holy Spirit. Just as the deer pants for the streams of water, your spirit, soul and body- everything within you draws and pulls near to God.
"As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God."- Psalm 42:1&2
In the process, He begins to saturate your soul, refresh your spirit, and infuse a fresh burst of energy and life in you for the tasks, work, assignments, activities and business of the day.
"O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you,..... My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me."- Psalm 63:1,8
As you dwell on, enjoying every bit of His presence: praising, worshipping, thanking Him; looking up to Him and committing your day to Him in prayer; you behold Jesus seated upon His Throne in Majesty far above ALL THINGS.
He begins to give you a new perspective, a heavenly viewpoint of the events and circumstances that you might be going through. You then see your day, the events, challenging activities, tight schedules, pressing deadlines, tough exams through the eyes of Jesus and the prism of Heaven.
"In putting everything under him, God left nothing that is not subject to him. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to him. But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death,"- Hebrews 2:8&9
Your strength is renewed, your soul is refreshed, your heart is satisfied and your spirit-man comes alive, which causes you to proclaim: "I can do everything with the help of Christ who gives me the strength I need."
What a glorious way to start a new day.
Have a fantastic day.
