From Phobia to Freedom

I came across this information about phobias and I felt I should do a post on it

What do you fear?

What do people fear most? At the top of the list is death, the fear of which is Necrophobia. Second, apparently, is the fear of failure, which is called Kakorrhaphiophobia. There is of course a story of how fears developed, like the fear of the number 13. The fear of Friday the 13th is called Paraskavedekatriaphobia.

It is not surprising to know that the fear of death or dying tops the list. But I have good news for you, if you have been held captive by the fear of death, then freedom from this captivity beckons on you today.

Richness Toward All

Precisely a week ago on Tuesday in my time of fellowship, seeking and intermeddling with all wisdom in His Word, while I was studying Genesis 27, I read of Esau's tears, disappointment, deep anguish, helplessness and hopelessness when he learnt that his brother had yet supplanted him again and it really touched my heart.

As I read on, it got me to a point of emotion, where I could not help but feel for Esau that he had been robbed again. How he wept, wept and wept at his loss, how he pleaded with his father to bless him just with any blessing left. What a poor fellow he was, I was almost moved to tears for him when His father told him that he had literally poured all his blessing on his brother- Jacob and that he had nothing left for him.

Zookeeper and Three Boys

A Woman of Noble Character

International Women's Day (IWD) is marked on the 8th of March every year. It is a major day of global celebration for the economic, political and social achievements of women. This date is also commemorated at the United Nations and is designated in many countries as a national holiday. When women on all continents, often divided by national boundaries and by ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic and political differences, come together to celebrate their Day.

This post is dedicated to celebrating our women-folk today.

"A capable, intelligent, and virtuous woman--who is he who can find her? She is far more precious than jewels and her value is far above rubies or pearls. She opens her hand to the poor, yes, she reaches out her filled hands to the needy [whether in body, mind, or spirit]. The Body

A complete unit, an indivisible entity, composed of many varied parts with every part being indispensible and having a unique function and role to play.

This is a picture of The Church- also called The Body of Christ in scriptures. Where everyone is important, significant and indispensible for her growth and well-being. Where everyone is needed and must play his or her part, using their God-given endowments, gifts, talents and love for the nourishment and maturing of this body.

"The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ."- 1 corinthians12:12
