I came across this information about phobias and I felt I should do a post on it
What do people fear most? At the top of the list is death, the fear of which is Necrophobia. Second, apparently, is the fear of failure, which is called Kakorrhaphiophobia. There is of course a story of how fears developed, like the fear of the number 13. The fear of Friday the 13th is called Paraskavedekatriaphobia.
It is not surprising to know that the fear of death or dying tops the list. But I have good news for you, if you have been held captive by the fear of death, then freedom from this captivity beckons on you today.
"But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor because He (Jesus) suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone. Since the children have flesh and blood, He (Jesus) too shared in their humanity so that by His (Jesus) death He (Jesus) might destroy him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil— and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death."- Hebrews 2:9,14-15
In Christ Jesus is freedom for you, freedom from all your fears, phobias, anxiety, captivity, bondage, sin etc. This is the truth. Jesus Christ is The Truth that sets you free.
"Then you will know the truth (Jesus), and the truth (Jesus) will set you free. So if the Son (Jesus) sets you free, you will be free indeed."- John 8:32,36
you are so right about this. we can be free through Christ Jesus. i have so many fears in my life but when i set my mind on Him, peace and freedom become more evident than fear itself. God bless you, akinola. =)

Great post!
I have an uncle who grew visibly upset whenever the subject of death came up...in conversation or TV or any where else.
He died fearing death because he refused to come to Christ.
We, however, no longer fear death because of Jesus!
