This term or phrase, whichever you prefer to call it, came to me during the course of my activities today. Infact it accurately describes the outcome of one of the event that clearly marked out my day today.
I think 'A Walkover Victory' attempts to describe a situation where you have been declared, proclaimed or adjudged to have won a victory in a battle, contest or case (either in the battle-ground, arena or court) that you did not show up for.
That implies, having not yet thrown a punch, launched an attack, or even put up a defence, you were publicly declared a winner in the presence of two or more witnesses, spectators, audience.
The Holy Scripture in Exodus 14:14 says: "The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still." And in 2 Chronicles 20:17,22&24: "You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you,... As they began to sing and praise, the LORD set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated." That is 'A Walkover Victory'
That is a picture of my experience today: A Walkover Victory. The Lord took over and fought my battles for me; the Lord won the victory for me, and I just walked confidently into the court to gather the spoils, laurel, rewards and entitlements of a legally declared winner. WATCH OUT FOR DETAILS!!!
Blessed be the Lord Who causes us to truimph always and everywhere through Christ Jesus.
This year confidently expect the Lord to grant you a walkover (a one-sided contest : an easy or uncontested victory) over those challenging battles, ungodly oppositions and strongholds that rises up against you.
with what i'm going through now, this is such an encouragement. thank you for sharing this. i will definitely expect confidently. God bless!
