But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me.- 1 Corinthians 15:10
The following excerpts on dealing with evil spirits is from Kenneth Hagin's book 'The Triumphant Church' :
"I asked Jesus, "Lord, how do I deal with the evil spirit in this woman?" The Lord answered, "You just simply say, You foul spirit that is operating and manifesting yourself in the life of ______________ (and Jesus called the woman's name), I command you to stop in your operations. I command you to cease and desist in your
maneuvers, in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ."
I said, "Is that all I have to do?" I thought perhaps I would have to prepare myself and get ready or some big battle or something.
Every genuine outward
transformation begins from the inside. Every change on the outside is a function of the change on the inside. There can be no external conversion without first an internal conversion.
"Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup
and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also."- Matthew 23:26
A conscious and continuous Introspection (Inward Examination) of our walk and relationship with God will make us fit as vessels of His (Gods) Glory.
"Test yourselves to discover whether you are true believers: put your own selves
under examination. Or do you not know that Jesus Christ is within you, unless
you are insincere?"- 2 Corinthians 13:5 (Weymouth New Testament)
Every tree we see around us began as a seedling. No tree ever appeared suddenly from the sky or burst forth out of the blues. Every tree we see today was a conscious planting of some seedlings some time in the past. The Bible refers to us (who have received New Birth in Christ Jesus) metaphorically as 'Trees of Righteousness.
"... that they might be called trees of righteousness"- Isaiah 61:3
'The Resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ is the anchor point of Christianity.'- Anon
"He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again."- Luke 24:6-7
Have you ever heard of stones that are said to be alive, that is living stones not dead ones. Stones that have life in them, active and living. An imagery which in essence is not just a nice or clever figure of speech but in truth the expression of a supernatural reality.
I was greatly blessed to be part of a group of students and folks from All Nations Church, Cardiff that embarked on a dynamic time of adventure and fellowship last weekend. The weekend tagged "In Step With The Spirit" was awesome and an unforgettable time of soaking in God's presence and in the fellowship of one another.
