But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me.- 1 Corinthians 15:10
"What you do not desire, you may not seek for. What you do not seek for, you may not acquire. Your desire fuels your pursuit, it drives you toward your goal."
"One thing have I DESIRED of the Lord, that will I SEEK after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in His temple."- Psalm 27:4 (Emphasis mine)
When Jesus died for us, He did it willingly. Because Jesus is God, He could have escaped from His captors and executioners with a spectacular display of power. But if He had, we would still be lost in our sins. How can we ever repay our LORD? We can't. How should we respond? We can trust Jesus with our life and live as He wants us to. How are you showing your gratitude to Christ?
-A Commentary from the Bible (New Living Translation).
Sad is the day when a person becomes absolutely satisfied with the life he is living, the thoughts he is thinking, the deeds he is doing; when there forever ceases to beat at the door of his soul a desire to do something greater for God. ('Running with the Giants')- John C Maxwell
