The Blessing of Obedience

This piece is a continuation of the Series on Obedience.

If they listen and obey God, they will be blessed with prosperity throughout their lives. All their years will be pleasant.- Job 36:11

Obedience does most certainly carry its rewards with it. In obedience lies yours and mine rewards in life. Obedience is one of those eternal virtues that pleases, delights and touches so profoundly the heart of the one being obeyed.

The Act of Obedience

Obedience is in the doing, not in the saying. You profess obedience, not just confess it; you do obedience, not just mouth obedience.

These people draw near Me with their mouths and honor Me with their lips, but their hearts hold off and are far away from Me.-Matthew 15:8

The Word II

Is The Truth

This is the concluding part of the write-up on 'The Word- Is the Truth' posted last week Tuesday, please read on.

So when the Bible- The Word of God tells us that mankind and the entire universe with the billions of stars, galactic bodies and cosmic being where created by God, that is "The Truth". Every other theories, propositions and intellectual explanations of evolution or the big bang that opposes "The Truth" are blatant lies and falsehood, that humanity should beware of.

This write up is a continuation of ‘The Word' series and a sequel to the post I did in April on The Word- Is the Light of God. There is a Yoruba adage from Nigeria when translated that says: "If falsehood or lie has been perpetrated for twenty years, it will only take a day for the truth to overcome it".

The Word I

Is The Light of God!

It is revealing to know that words are quite powerful. That is the words you and I speak, our words can either build or destroy; encourage or discourage, heal or hurt. The evidence given via the spoken words of a witness can help shed a beam of light in a dark tunnel and greatly influence the outcome of a case.

The Passion II

He Lives Forever.

"I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death."- Revelation 1:18

We serve a living God, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ conquered death when God raised Him from the death on the third day. Jesus is alive and lives forever more. He is not in the grave neither is He on the cross anymore, He is now seated at the right hand of God the Father in glory.

The Passion I

It is Done!

A deal of eternal proportion, significance, cosmic reverberation, priceless worth was enacted over two millenium ago. An inestimable, immeasurable price was paid, a powerful sacrifice was made. The deal was eternally settled and sealed in favour of all humanity, there will never be, or need to be another.

Hope I

The Great Anchor

A man or woman that has no hope or has lost hope in life is as good as dead. For hope is the engine of life. Where there is no hope, there can't be true life. Hope is what keep you going in the race of life, hope is that assurance that keeps you living in anticipation of a definite and colourful destination.

Blessing II:

When God blesses, nothing can reverse it!

This post is a follow-up to the one I did last week on 'Blessing- Our heritage in God'. Truly we have a wonderful and most blessed heritage of blessing in God. An inheritance forever settled in heaven, that no man or force can deny us of.

This blessing enriches and flows with joy. It has no trace of sorrow, regret, pain or disappointment in it. When God pronounces, declares and releases His blessing upon His children and people, it cannot be stopped, over-turned, over-ruled, undone or reversed. It sticks on the life of such a man or woman.

Our Heritage in God

I have recently been meditating and pondering on the blessing of God for all His children. It is really striking and heart-warming to know that the heart of our heavenly Father to us His earthly children is that of blessing. Blessing- is our inheritance as children of God that belong to His family. It is indeed our Heritage in God!
