Sometimes because of our religious teaching, we think we have to pray for a week before we can exercise our authority over the devil. Or we think maybe we ought to fast several meals before we could attempt to deal with the devil.
But our authority over the devil is in Jesus' Name based on our rights and privileges in Christ. Our authority over the devil doesn't depend on how long we pray and fast, but we do need to know who we are in Christ.
