"The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it."- John 1:5
A wiseman once said: 'The glory of light is made manifest in the midst of darkness'
You may have learnt that the sky and clouds goes very dark before the break of dawn. As dusk sets in, the day gradually goes dark and darker through the night and darkest before the dawn of a new day.
Many a time in life, the breakthrough, victory, triumph you have been expecting seems to be so far away from you, when you are just about to reach and take possession of it.
When your breakthrough is just around the corner, then it seems the farthest away.
That is why scripture admonishes: "For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off"- Proverbs 23:18
"Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning"- Psalm 30:5
I like the way this anonymous quote puts it: 'Hope is like a bird that senses the dawn and carefully starts to sing while it is still dark.'
The sure dawn of your joy, victory, breakthrough through Christ Jesus is just a dark cloud cover away, so you can cheer up, brace up, rise up, rejoice and begin to sing.
