Alert Level Raised To Five

With the swine flu disease spreading across the world. The World Health Organization has raised the alert to level five, one short of a full blown global epidemic. This is to get governments across the world to be on alert and take precautionary steps and swift action to prevent a pandemic and catastrophic outbreak.

I can't but feel a strong and real sense of ease and rest from all the panic around about the high possibility of a pandemic caused by global swine flu infection.

My lack of fear, panic and worry about the swine flu is drawn from my strong faith, trust, believe and absolute rest in the Word, Promises and Love of God.

For Christ's name is higher than every other name, named or un-named disease. Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father in heavenly places far above every named and un-named disease; every discovered and yet to be discovered disease; not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.

So why should I worry, panic, fret and be afraid of any impending pandemic either from swine flu, or from any unidentified disease, or any disease yet to be discovered.

Below are some of the Promises of God that keeps me from panicking, worrying and being un-necessarily fearful of a possible swine flu pandemic.

• For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness,- Psalm 91:3,6

• No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;- Psalm 91:10

• You died, which means that your life is hidden with Christ, who sits beside God.- Colossians 3:3

• And the Lord will protect you from all sickness. He will not let you suffer from the terrible diseases...,- Deuteronomy 7:15

• Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you,- 3 John 1:2 

• With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation.- Psalm 91:16

Finally, if you will trust, believe and have faith in Christ Jesus and His Word, The Lord will come through for you and place a covering over you against every plague or pandemic that torments the world.

My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. For they are life to those who find them and health to all their body.- Proverbs 4:20,22
